Blank firing near polling booths in Odisha’s Boudh

Boudh, Feb 15:

Panic gripped two polling booths in Odisha’s Boudh district today following blank firing by miscreants.

According to reports, a clash ensued between supporters of two Sarpanch candidates at two booth in Kasurabandha panchayat of the district.

The incident turned violent as three rounds of bullets were blank fired by one of the supporters.

As many as six persons were injured in the conflict.

Voters ran away from the booth after the firing apprehending danger.

On being informed, police reached the spot and tried to persuade the voters to cast their votes but in vain.

Police forces were deployed at the spot to avoid further untoward incident.
