Odisha woman kills husband, surrenders before police

Balasore: A woman allegedly killed her husband at Gudipada village under Sahadevkhunta police limits in Odisha’s Balasore district and surrendered at Baripada Sadar police station, today.

The deceased has been identified as Badha Marandi. He was working as a security guard at the FCI office in Balasore and staying at a house in the village.

The reason behind the extreme step by the accused, identified as Sita Hembram, is yet to be ascertained.

Earlier in the day, blood-soaked body of Marandi was recovered by police from the house. A billhook which was found near the body has been seized by police.
