Blot on khaki: Drunk Odisha cop misbehaves with woman before her hubby

Nabarangpur: In a major embarrassment of Nabarangpur police, a constable of the district police allegedly misbehaved with a married woman in the presence of her husband in an inebriated state at Umerkote town here last night.

According to reports, the woman and her husband were having Gupchup at the Old Bus Stand in Umerkote around 9 pm when constable Suresh Patra, who was posted at the Naka police outpost inaugurated four days ago, misbehaved with her.

“The constable came near my wife and asked for her mobile phone number besides making lewd gesture at her,” the husband of the woman said.

The cop, who was drunk, also scolded some locals who opposed his act. Bringing further embarrassment for the department, the constable also danced on road. The entire episode was recorded by several locals on their mobile phones.
