Bhubaneswar: Seeking cooperation from the residents of Bhubaneswar to stand tall during the ongoing COVID crisis, the Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) today launched a mobile app ‘Sachetak’ to focus on the vulnerable section of people in the area.

Prior to the launch, the BMC had initiated an awareness campaign named ‘Mo Sapatha, Nua Abhyasa’ at Social Equity Center at Saheed Nagar this morning.

The ‘Sachetak’ app has been designed and developed by Bhubaneswar Smart City Limited (BMCL). It has been introduced to help the vulnerable strata of the society like elderly citizens, pregnant women and people with comorbidities physically as well as mentally during this crisis scenario, an official said.

A demonstration of the application was also made by Pinaki Dash, Programme Management Consultant, BSCL during the event today.

“This app works as a one-stop-solution for providing various services such as fixing an appointment with doctors nearby, options for home delivery of essential items and medicines, updates about COVID-19, quarantine centres, number of persons in quarantine in their areas or ward, number of positive cases and deaths,” the official added.

The app is further said to help the users identify whether the ward around them is in red, orange, green, or containment zone.

‘Sachetak’ app is available on Google and Apple play stores for download.

After registering certain personal details, the app will be good to go for the users. For more details, click on the link http://www.sachetakapp.in/
