Body of drowned worker recovered

Paradip, May 5:

The body of a contractual worker at the Paradip oil refinery project in Odisha, who was swept away by sea waves yesterday, was recovered by fishermen off the Paradip coast today.

The mishap took place when the victim was taking a bath at the sea beach here.

The bloated body of the victim was spotted by local seagoing fishermen who fished it out and brought it ashore.

“The deceased has been identified as Pawan Martha, a native of Bihar. He had gone missing While taking a sea bath yesterday. The local fishermen retrieved the body and handed it over to police. It has been sent for post-mortem. A case of unnatural death has been registered in this connection”, said Inspector, Paradip marine police station, Bhabagrahi Rout.
