Body of Odia labourer arrives from Oman

The body of an Odia labourer, who was found dead in Oman earlier this month, arrived at Berhampur in Odisha’s Ganjam district today.

Harikrushna Nayak, the deceased labourer and a resident of Gopalpur, had gone to Oman on February 28 for work. He died on June 1 reportedly due to illness. His family members came to know about the tragic incident on June 7.

However, the family members have demanded autopsy of the body alleging that it is a case of accidental death.
