Bol Bam devotee struck by big wave dies in Odisha’s Puri

Puri: A Bol Bam devotee after being struck by a big wave in Puri sea died this morning.

The deceased was identified as Sanjit Dalei (27) of Chalia Balikuda village in Jajpur district.

Sanjit along with his friends had come to Puri to offer holy water brought from Cuttack on Lord Shiva in Loknath temple.

The incident occurred when he was taking bath with his friends in the sea in front of Samadhi hotel. He was injured after being struck by a big wave. The fire brigade officials rushed him to Puri district headquarters hospital. However, he died on the way to the hospital.
