Eyewitnesses said three bike-borne assailants detonated three low-intensity crude bombs in front of Behera’s residence near Deer park in Madhusudan Nagar area before fleeing.

However, no damage to life or property has been reported.

“I don’t have enmity with any person and I cannot tell who could be behind the incident,” Behera said.

It may be recalled that two unidentified assailants exploded a crude bomb and fired three rounds of bullets at the busy Bajrakabati road here last Saturday in which a man identified as Bijay Kumar Rout, secretary of Malisahi puja committee, was injured. The attack on Rout was said to be a fall-out of past rivalry. The injured was admitted to a private hospital.
