Bomb hurled at DRDA office in Odisha’s Kendrapara

Kendrapara, Jun 8:

An unidentified youth hurled a bomb at District Rural Development Agency (DRDA) office in Odisha’s Kendrapara district today morning. However, there were no reports of loss of life or property in the bombing.

The incident took place at around 8 am in the morning. The bomb exploded near the window of the Zilla Parishad chairman’s chamber. An AC was partially damaged in the explosion, sources said.

According to reports, a Zilla Parishad council meeting was scheduled to be held today at 10 am. Some officials who were present on the first floor of the office, rushed to the ground floor after the blast.

On being informed about the incident, Town police reached the spot and started investigation. It was yet to be confirmed either the explosive material was a bomb or cracker.
