Bhubaneswar: The Twin City Commissionerate Police has arrested deputy executive engineer of Works Department, Bansidhar Praharaj in connection with the Bomikhal under-construction flyover collapse incident, informed Police Commissioner YB Khurania today.

He further informed that case has been registered against Praharaj, assistant engineer Kishore Rout, Sujata Panda, Pratap Panda and Santosh Panda-- three members of the Board of Directors of Panda Infra, the company which had undertaken construction work of the bridge, under Sections 304, 337, 338 and 34 of IPC at Laxmi Sagar police station.

Efforts are on to arrest the others, the police official said.

An unnatural death case has been registered at Capital Police station into the death of one Satyabrata Patnaik in the incident, he said.

Praharaj, Rout and an Executive Engineer Dukhabandhu Behera have been placed under suspension.
