BPUT final semester exam to be conducted with open book system

Bhubaneswar: The Biju Patnaik University of Technology (BPUT) will conduct final semester theory examinations for all courses online with open book system, an official notification said today.

The examinations will be held tentatively from the first week of July with an open book system and set of innovative questions based on outcome-based education, which tests the applied knowledge of the students, the notification said.

The students shall be allowed to appear for the examinations from their home or to use the broadband/computer facilities of the affiliated technical/professional institution and Government ITIs/Polytechnics nearest to their houses as per their choice if adequate broadband or internet connectivity is not available.

The students who opt not to appear for the online examination can appear for the offline final examination of the university after re-opening of the educational institutions.
