BREAKING: 7 more test COVID-19 positive in Odisha, count reaches 118

Bhubaneswar: Number of COVID-19 cases in Odisha mounted to 118 as seven more persons tested positive for the virus yesterday, informed Health and Family Welfare Department sources today.

Out of the seven persons, three are from Bhadrak and four from Sundargarh. With this, the number of active cases in the state rose to 80 while 37 persons have recovered so far. As many as 1584 tests were conducted in the state yesterday, sources said.

The three fresh positive cases of Bhadrak are male with ‘West Bengal link’. Two of them hail from Basudevpur block and one from Bonth block. The containment areas have been sealed, informed district administration.

On the other hand, four cases of Sundargarh have been identified as a 55-year-old woman, a 35-year-old woman, a 38-year-old man and a 27-year-old man of Nala Road, Rourkela.
