Broad daylight bank robbery in Baripada town of Odisha

In a daring broad daylight heist, miscreants looted more than Rs 7 lakh from Nichuapada branch of Odisha Gramya Bank in Barapida town of Odisha today.

According to eyewitnesses five armed miscreants entered the bank and terrorised the the employees at gunpoint. Later they locked them in a room and looted the cash before fleeing the scene.

Following information, a team of police from Sadar police station rushed to the bank for an on-the-spot investigation.

It may be noted that, four armed robbers looted the Kuchei branch of the same bank in Baripada on April 10, last year.
