Brown sugar seized in Odisha capital; 2 arrested

The Nayapalli police today seized 13 grams of brown sugar worth Rs 1.5 lakh from Salia Sahi in Odisha capital and arrested two persons in this connection.

The arrested were identified as Aditya Rao and Mohan Sharma.

According to reports, police had kept a sharp watch on the duo after getting tip-off regarding possession of the contraband and arrested them today.

“The special squad of the Commissionerate Police and Nayapalli police conducted a joint raid and arrested two persons for their alleged involvement in brown sugar business. Such raids will continue in coming days,” said Bhubaneswar DCP Satyabrata Bhoi.
