Brown sugar worth Rs 20 lakh seized; drug peddler arrested

Khordha: Odisha Excise officials today seized brown sugar worth Rs 20 lakh and arrested a drug peddler in this connection in Khordha district.

The arrested was identified as Somnath Bhujabal, a resident of Thengahata under Khordha Town police limits in the district.

Police have also seized Rs 2 lakh, a mouser and two live bullets from his possession, reports said.

Sources said, Somnath used to bring the contraband from Jaleswar in Balasore and sell it at his house.
