BSF IG on three-day Koraput visit, reviews security measures in border areas

The IG interacted with security personnel stationed at the camps there  and praised them for their sincere efforts towards combating Maoist activities in the region.

Koraput: BSF IG Satish Chandra Budakoti, who is on a three-day tour to Koraput district, visited SOG camp and inspected training of security personnel for anti-Naxal operations in border areas here today. On Sunday, Budakoti, along with Koraput DIG sector Madan Lal and other senior officials of the BSF had visited Koraput, Bandhugaon, Narayapatana, Podapadar, Pallur and reviewed security measures on Odisha-Andhra Pradesh border areas. The IG interacted with security personnel stationed at the camps there  and praised them for their sincere efforts towards combating Maoist activities in the region.

“BSF along with the State government has played a crucial role in development of the region by combating Maoist menace and other security concerns in inaccessible areas in the Red zone here,” Budakoti said. He also directed security  forces to develop and maintain cordial relations with the local residents and earn their confidence to keep peace in the region.
