BSF jawan shoots self to death in Odisha’s Rayagada

Rayagada: In a shocking incident, a BSF jawan of 68th Battalion allegedly shot himself dead with his service rifle in Kalyansingpur area of Odisha’s Rayagada district, today.

The deceased has been identified as Dillip Kumar Mahi. He had gotten married four months ago.

Though the reason behind the extreme step by the jawan was yet to be ascertained, it is suspected that he killed himself over family dispute.

The body has been recovered by police while further investigation was underway.
