Buchi Babu Invitational Cricket: TNCA XI thrash Odisha

Chennai, Aug 25: A five-wicket haul by Sunil Sam powered TNCA Presidents XI to a thumping victory over Odisha in the ongoing Buchi Babu All India Invitational Cricket Tournament here today.

In reply to TNCA Presidents XI’s 338, Odisha slumped to 105 in 36.4 overs.

Odisha began disastrously as wicket fell at regular intervals as five top order batsmen failed to reach double figure.

Thanks to some resistance by Ranjit Singh (25), Paresh Patel (12), Tukuna Sahoo (24) and Suryakanta Pradhan (28) who managed to take the score to 105 at a time when the team was tottering at 16 for 6.

Apart from Sunil’s 5 for 50, Rahil Shah and Antony Dhas claimed three and two wickets respectively.
