The railway budget presented in the Parliament today has allocated Rs 1424.98 crore to Odisha against the demand of Rs 3,160 crore for strengthening and expanding rail infrastructure in the 2014-15 financial year. However, the allocation is higher comparison to previous year’s allocation 868.83 crore in 2013-14.
The state government had demanded Rs 3050 crore in 2013-14. It had received only Rs 723.98 crore against the demand of Rs 2345 crore in 2012-13 In 2011-12, it had asked for Rs 2085 crore, but had received only Rs 1385.67 core. It had received Rs 841.64 crore against the demand of Rs 1805 crore in 2010-11.

Talcher-Bimalagarh-Rs 100 croe
Sukinda-Angul-100 crore
Sambalpur-Titlagarh-Rs 105.89 crore
Khurdha-Bolangir-Rs 100 crore
Haridaspur-Paradip-Rs 187 crore
Banspani-Jakapara-Rs 198 crore
Sambalpur-Talcher road-Rs 52 crore
Raipur-Titlagarh- Rs 161.42 crore
