Bus fare hiked in Odisha after rise in fuel price

Bhubaneswar: Bus fare in Odisha was today hiked under the automatic fare revision mechanism after the constant rise in fuel price during the last few days.

Fare for ordinary bus has been increased from Rs 0.87/km to Rs 0.90/km. The same for express bus has been hiked from Rs 0.91/km to Rs 0.94/km.

Similarly, deluxe bus fare rose from Rs 1.25/km to Rs 1.31/km and AC deluxe bus fare from Rs 1.53/km to Rs 1.59/km.

Likewise, super premium bus fare saw a hike from Rs 2.38/km to Rs 2.47/km.
