Bus, SUV head-on collision claims three lives in Odisha’s Angul

Angul: At least three persons lost their lives and four others were critically injured after an SUV in which they were travelling collided head-on with a bus on NH-55 near Champapur in Kishore Nagar area of Odisha’s Angul district late last night.

According to reports, the ill-fated car, carrying seven persons from Chhattisgarh, was on the way to Puri. A private bus ‘Sushree’ heading towards Jharsuguda from Jajpur collided against the SUV killing two persons on the spot while another succumbed to injuries on the way to hospital.

The deceased have been identified as Ashok Debang (34) and Gopal Debang (36). The identity of the third victim was yet to be established, till last reports came in.

The four injured ones were initially admitted to a nearby hospital and later shifted to VIMSAR in Burla.
