Bhubaneswar DCP Satyabrata Bhoi said the accused would be interrogated further on the fresh claim of the family members of the deceased after taking them on remand.

Following the allegation made by the brother, mother and sister of the deceased against the police for its one-sided probe, Twin City Commissioner of Police Dr RP Sharma had told the media that the case would  be probed from all angles.

Dr Sharma had said the family members of the deceased claimed that people other than the three arrested are involved in the crime.

“During the recording of their statement during ininterrogation, the family members of the deceased came up with several points, the most important of them being their claim that people other than the three arrested are involved in the crime. We will certainly to pursue this angle,” the CP said today.

Further investigation will be done after verifying all facts of the deceased family, the commissioner said. “We will examine facts provided by the family members of the deceased to establish the truth. It is by no means a closed investigation,” he had said.

“We are still investigating the relationship between the husband and his wife since the time of their marriage in 2003 to his murder,” Sharma said.
