Cabinet meeting for Odisha Assembly dissolution this week!

Bhubaneswar: With just a week left for announcement of the elections 2019 results, the cabinet meeting is likely to be held this week for dissolving State Assembly.

The cabinet will give the nod at the meeting for dissolution of 15th Assembly before formation of new government.

According to a reliable source, the new government is likely to take the oath on May 27 or 28. However, the swearing-in ceremony is likely to be a very low key affair in view of extensive damage in the State due to Cyclone FANI.

In 2014, the State Cabinet had cleared a proposal for dissolving the 14th Assembly on May 8, a week before the election vote counting that was conducted on May 16. Later, the then Governor of Odisha had approved for Assembly dissolution on May 13 and Naveen Patnaik was sworn-in for fourth time as the Chief Minister.
