Car plunges into Puri Canal on Bhubaneswar outskirts; 2 missing

Bhubaneswar: A car carrying two persons plunged into Puri Canal under Balianta police limits on the outskirts of the capital city, early this morning. The duo went missing after the mishap.

The missing persons have been identified as Sandeep Kumar (driver) and Mahendra Kumar, employees of Jyoti Best Packers & Movers.

On being informed about the incident, Fire Services personnel reached the spot and launched a search operation to trace and rescue the victims.

The ill-fated vehicle has been fished out of the canal with the help of a crane.

Till last reports came in, the two persons were yet to be traced.
