Casting couch: Odisha HC grants bail to choreographer Lubun

Odisha High Court yesterday granted bail to choreographer Lubun Sen, who was arrested on April 28 for blackmailing a girl with a surreptitiously shot sex video.

The High court asked the lower court to grant bail to Lubun alias Bandis Binayak Sen after he deposits Rs 20,000 and produces two guarantors. The court has also asked him not to threaten the witnesses in the case and cooperate with the investigation process.

Lubun had a relationship with the girl after getting to know her through a cultural programme. He took the relationship to the next level after making many promises to her.

Later, the girl complained against him in CDA phase-2 police station citing that he was blackmailing her and attempting to break her marriage proposals.
