CBI arrest two India Post staff while taking bribe in Odisha’s Jajpur

Jajpur, Aug 27:

Two employees of Head Post Office in Odisha’s Jajpur were nabbed by Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) officials while accepting a bribe on Saturday.

According to reports, Postmaster of Jajpur district Head Post Office Bharat Chandra Das and a clerk identified as Alok Sahoo had demanded Rs 10,000 from one Bichitra Mohanty of Madhuban area in Kuakhia in the district to approve a deal.

Bichitra bribed Rs 2,000 on Friday and later informed it to CBI officials in Bhubaneswar.

Based on the complaint, the sleuths today laid a trap and caught the duo red-handed while taking Rs 5,000 bribe from the complainant. The bribe money has been seized by the CBI officials.
