This was the fourth time the Youth Congress president appeared before the central investigative agency and was quizzed for a marathon over seven hours in two sessions by the CBI officials in connection with his alleged links with the AT Group, sources said.

Rajat was grilled for nearly four hours yesterday by the CBI. His wife was also quizzed, the sources added.

Sources revealed Rajat was questioned over his financial transactions with the AT Group.

One Mitu Mohanty, a Congress leader had allegedly obtained a plot of land from AT Group which is worth Rs 94.77 lakh. Mitu had allegedly taken possession of the plot  without paying a single paisa to the AT Group for the same. Rajat Choudhary had acted as a mediator in the transaction. He is being quizzed by the CBI in that connection, sources informed.

Senior Congress leader Lalatendu Bidyadhar Mohapatra today reiterated: “Interrogation of Rajat is politically motivated. It’s more of a farce than interrogation. If he is guilty he should be punished.”
