CBSE Class 10 Exam: Question paper format changed; Check details

New Delh/Bhubaneswar: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has made certain changes for Class 10 Board Examinations- 2019.

The board examinations for both Class 10 and Class 12 for academic year 2018-19 would begin in February instead of March. Registrations for the same have already begun.

CBSE Class 10 Board Examinations 2019

The CBSE has revised the passing criteria for Class 10 students. As per the revised passing criteria, students are required to score a combined 33 percent marks to pass. This includes internal assessment (practical marks) and external (board exam) marks.

Only vocational subjects will be held in February. Exams for core subjects will be conducted in March

-The CBSE has also revised the question paper format for both Class 10 and Class 12 students. It has increased the number of internal choices. Almost all the core subjects as well as a few vocational subjects would have about 11 internal choices in various questions.

-To check the revised question paper format, students can refer to the CBSE Class X Sample Question Papers- as released by the board last Friday.

The exam sheet for the CBSE Class 10 board examinations is expected to be released in December.
