CBSE Class-10 exams cancelled; Here’s how results will be prepared

New Delhi: In a major decision, the Central Government today cancelled the CBSE Class-10 examinations in view of the COVID-19 situation.

The examinations were scheduled to be held from May 4 to June 14. The results will be prepared on the basis of an objective criterion to be developed by the board. Any candidate who is not satisfied with the marks allocated to him/her on this basis will be given an opportunity to sit in an exam as and when the conditions are conducive to hold the exams, said Dr. Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank, Union Minister for Education.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi today chaired a high-level meeting in this regard.

The CBSE Class-12 examinations have been postponed and will be held later. The situation will be reviewed on June 1 by the board and details will be shared subsequently. A notice of at least 15 days will be given before the start of the Class-12  examinations.
