CBSE Class-10 Odia Paper: Marks of 28310 students revised with correct answer key

Bhubaneswar: Following allegation of incorrect answer key for CBSE Class-10 Odia Paper (Term-1) and subsequent wrong marking, the board has revised the marks of as many 28310 students with correct answer key.

“On a serious dispute being brought to the notice of Shiksha Mantri Dharmendra Pradhan on 14.03.2022 regarding the Answer Key of Odia Class-X, it was directed by the Shiksha Mantri that the dispute must be resolved within the next 24 hours and students grievance addressed immediately and appropriately. Accordingly, with a view to ascertaining the factual position, an expert committee was constituted by CBSE for examining the discrepancies mentioned in the representation,” the CBSE said in a statement.

“The Committee submitted its report at 6.00 PM on 14.03.2022 and based on the report of the expert committee, the CBSE has evaluated the OMRs of Odia Class-X with the correct answer key approved by the expert committee. The revised performance of students has been since sent to the concerned schools for onward information of the students. A total of 28310 students have benefitted as a result of this revision,” the statement added.

Notably, the CBSE had declared the results of the Term-1 examinations on March 12. However, many students had taken to Twitter claiming that the question paper had several errors and grace marks were not awarded for the same.

Some students also claimed that there were several wrong answers in the answer key.
