CBSE to set date for change of city of exam centre soon

New Delhi/Bhubaneswar: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has decided to allow students make a request to their respective schools to change the city of examination centre. The board ‘s decision came after some students told CBSE they are still not in the city of their schools where they had taken admission and are residing somewhere else.

The board also stated the students will be informed when to request their respective schools to change the city of examination centre. Also, schools will follow the instructions given by CBSE to forward the request to the board in an online system.

The students have been told to make the request to their school within the schedule which will be of short duration. It asked students and schools to visit the CBSE’s official website – www.cbse.gov.in for updates on change of the city of examination centre.

“No request after the schedule will be accepted by the board for change of examination centre city,” the CBSE stated.

On October 18, CBSE announced the date sheet for Term-1 examination of Class X and Class XII students for the academic session 2021-22.

For Class X students, the term-1 exam of major subjects will begin from November 30, 2021 whereas the exam of Class XII students will start from December 1, 2021.

The board further stated date sheet of minor subjects of Class X will be provided to the schools separately. The examination of these subjects will start from November 17, 2021.

The examination of minor subjects for Class XII students will begin from November 16, 2021.

Along with the Term-1 examination of Class-X students, examinations of minor subjects of Class XII will also be conducted.
