CCEA approves road widening project in Odisha

The Union government today approved four-laning of six highways, spread across five states, including Odisha, having a total length of 712 km at a cost of Rs 12, 646 crore.

CCEAThe Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs (CCEA), chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, has approved four-laning of these projects.

In Odisha, Baharagora-Singhara stretch on NH-6 would be developed into four-lanes for Rs 1,283 crore.

Notably, all projects would be developed through Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) mode under the National Highways Development Project (NHDP).

The projects include four-laning of Ghaghra Bridge-Varanasi national highway (NH) 233 in Uttar Pradesh, Rewa-Katni-Jabalpur NH- 7 in Madhya Pradesh, Parwanoo-Shimla NH-22 in Himachal Pradesh, Ghoshpukur-Salasbari NH-31 D in West Bengal.
