CCTV mandatory in Odisha colleges during exam

Installing CCTVs is now mandatory in examination halls of all the colleges affiliated to Utkal University of Culture in Odisha.

This was decided at a conference attended by the principals and directors of 42 colleges affiliated to Utkal University of Culture yesterday at Madanpur.

As per the decision, the CCTV camera will be installed in the exam halls of the colleges ahead of examinations.

Inaugurating the conference the Culture University VC Prof. Kamalakant Mishra said that reforms have been made in the existing examination system. The registration and form fill up process will be online. As the examinations will be held after three months, installing the CCTV cameras in the colleges has been made mandatory.

Action will be taken against the college if found not to have installed CCTVs in the exam halls, sources said.

The colleges will have to submit a report about the installation of CCTVs before the exams. A special investigation committee and squad will verify it by visiting the colleges.
