CDAA to organise marathon on Utkal Diwas

The Cuttack District Athletic Association (CDAA) would organise a marathon in the Millennium city here on April 1 on the occasion of Utkal Diwas.

In a release, CDAA secretary Asirbad Behera said the marathon would be held in the sub-junior, junior and senior categories.

The marathon would begin at 7 AM from the entrance gate of the Barabati Fort and end at the entrance gate of the Club House of Barabati stadium.

The first three winners in the junior boys and girls and senior men’s and women’s categories would be awarded cash prizes of Rs 5000, Rs 4000 and Rs 3000 respectively while five participants each in the above categories would be given Rs 1000 as consolation prize.

The first three winners in the sub-junior boys and girls categories would be awarded cash prizes of Rs 3000, Rs 2000 and Rs 1000 respectively while five participants each in the above categories would be given Rs 500 as consolation prize.
