Briefing newsmen at the Biju Patnaik International Airport here after his arrival from New Delhi on a two-day visit to the state, Goyal said he will inaugurate a multi skill development centre at the NTPC power plant premises at Kaniha which would provide immense opportunity to the young entrepreneurs to enhance their skill and help them raise their earning for themselves and the people employed by them.

“There was a long-standing demand for this centre which could not be materialised at that time due to some problems,” the Union minister pointed out.

As per the schedule, the Union minister, after inaugurating the multi-skilled development centre at NTPC power plant at Kaniha, would visit the coalmine of the Mahanadi Coalfields Ltd at Bharatpur and review the proposed Kalinga-Angul rail link.

After the review, Goyal would lay the foundation stone of the proposed Mahanadi Institute of Medical Science and Research Centre at Talcher.

He would return to Bhubaneswar in the evening where he will have a meeting with the state Coal and Mines minister Prafulla Mallick on coal, power and renewable energy.

On Friday, the Union minister is scheduled to address the media followed by a meeting with chief minister Naveen Patnaik in the afternoon before leaving for New Delhi in the evening.
