Chargesheet filed against Mahima Mishra in Press Chhak bomb hurling case

The Odisha police today filed chargesheet against industrialist Mahimananda Mishra aka Mahima Mishra in the 2013 Press Chhak bomb hurling case.

Chargesheet was also filed against his associate Ganesh Sahu in connection with the case, reports said.

Notably, bomb was hurled at lawyer Abhay Bhatt near Press Chhak in Cuttack on September 21, 2013 in an attempt to kill him. Mishra at that time wanted to purchase a piece of land worth Rs 72 lakh but it was Bhatt who succeeded in buying it.

Ganesh Sahu, a criminal, had revealed to police during interrogation that the bomb was hurled under Mishra’s direction, police had said.

Worth mentioning, the Odisha Stevedores Limited (OSL) Managing Director has been arrested in connection with the murder of Seaways Shipping and Logistics Private Limited (SSPL) General Manager Mahendra Swain in Paradip.
