Child killed, 20 injured as truck hits bus in Odisha’s Keonjhar

Keonjhar: In a tragic incident, a child died and 20 persons sustained injuries after the bus in which they were travelling was hit by a truck from rear at Kanjipani ghat in Odisha’s Keonjhar district late last night.

The ill-fated bus was heading towards Rourkela from Keonjhar when an iron ore-laden truck rammed into the vehicle at the ghat. The bus overturned killing the 6-year-old child of Pipilia in the district and injuring 20 other passengers.

While 18 of the injured ones are undergoing treatment at the Keonjhar district headquarters hospital, two victims were shifted to the SCB Medical College and Hospital in Cuttack as their condition deteriorated.
