Bhubaneswar, Oct 6:

The Council of Higher Secondary Education (CHSE) will not conduct the Plus Two first year examination this year in Odisha. A decision in this regard was taken at a meeting held under the chairmanship of Chief Secretary Aditya Prasad Padhi at the State Secretariat where School and Mass Education Minister Debi Prasad Mishra and Higher Education Minister Pradeep Panigrahi were present.

The CHSE will not conduct the first year exams this year due to shortage of time, said Mishra after the meeting. However, the first year exams will be conducted by colleges as usual this year, he added.

“Modalities will be prepared for holding the exam next year after wider consultation,” the minister said.

Notably, the CHSE had earlier submitted a report to the School and Mass Education Department in support of holding the exam. Besides, a roadmap was prepared to conduct the exam in OMR format.
