Cinema halls to operate with full capacity in Odisha; Vaccination certificate not required for entry

Bhubaneswar: Announcing the COVID-19 guidelines for Odisha for the month of September, Special Relief Commissioner Pradeep Jena today said that cinema halls and auditoriums in the state will function with full seating capacity.

However, COVID-19 protocols shall be followed at the cinema halls during the period.

Moreover, COVID-19 vaccination final certificate will no longer be required for entering cinema halls in Bhubaneswar, Cuttack city and Puri town.

Similarly, the certificate is no more necessary for entering shopping malls across the state, the official said.

The cinema halls in Bhubaneswar, Cuttack city and Puri town were closed during weekend due to the weekend shutdown. With the withdrawal of the weekend shutdown restrictions in the three areas, cinema halls will remain open on all days during September.
