Classes in IIM-Sambalpur from September first week

Classes for 60 students of the first batch of Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Sambalpur will begin at its temporary campus at Silicon Institute in this western Odisha city from the first week of September.

IIMA decision to this effect was taken at a high level meeting presided over by chief secretary GC Pati at the State Secretariat here today.

Prof SK Singh of IIM, Indore, the mentor institution, will work as the coordinator of IIM-Indore and IIM-Sambalpur.

The chief secretary asked the Sambalpur collector to submit a report on the permanent campus of the institute by August 17.

It was decided that the IIM Society would be formed by August 20.
