Classes of PG 1st yr, Plus 3 2nd Yr students to resume on Feb 10; check exam dates

Bhubaneswar:  Classes of PG First Year and UG Pre-Final Year students will resume from February 10, Odisha Higher Education Minister Arun Sahoo informed this here today.

Speaking to mediapersons, the Minister said students will be given permission to stay in hostels from February 8. COVID-19 protocols will be mandatorily followed in both classrooms and hostels. Authorities of respective educational institutions have been asked to ensure that students, lecturers and all other staff wear mask, maintain social distancing, use sanitizer and wash hands frequently, he added.

All concerned should maintain a six-feet distance in classrooms, laboratories and libraries in the colleges and universities, the Minister said.

Regarding examinations, Sahoo said the third semester of 3-year UG courses and  fifth semester of 4-year UG courses will be held  between April 19 and 30. The results of the same will be declared by May 31.

Besides, the first Semester exam of PG students will be held between June 7 and  19 while results of the same will be announced by July 20, the Minister informed.
