Close shave for revellers in Odisha as Ferris wheel gets stuck mid-air

Bhubaneswar: Revellers taking a joyride on a ferris wheel this evening in Odisha capital had a tumultuous experienced of their life.

As per reports, around 20 people had embarked on a Ferris wheel at a fair in Baramunda Ground here on the occasion of Durga Puja festivity.

However, the giant wheel suffered mechanical snag owing which the revellers got stuck mid-air leading to a chaotic situation.

The stranded people screamed for help as they were suspended mid air. Soon, the Fire department officials were alerted who swung into action to rescue them.

The fire tenders helped ground the people with the help of ladders.

None was hurt in the incident, sources said.
