CMC, Baripada ULB poll on Feb 6

Elections for the Cuttack Municipal Corporation and Baripada Municipality will be held on February 6, the State Election Commissioner (SEC) announced today.

According the SEC's order, while nominations will be filed between January 13 and January 18, scrutiny of papers will be held on Jan 20.

The date of withdrawal of candidature is  Jan 24 and the final list of candidates will be published on the same day.

Counting of votes will be taken up on February 7 and results, announced the same day.

The election of the CMC Mayor and chairperson of Baripada Municipality will be held on February  13 while the Deputy Mayor and vice-chairperson will be elected on March 1.

The model code of conduct has been enforced in these two areas from today.
