Coal India Limited (CIL) on Tuesday donated Rs 50 crore to the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund (CMRF) of Odisha for rehabilitation of Cyclone Phailin affected people.

R Mohan Das, Director (P&IR),CIL handed over the cheque to Sriprakash Jaiswal, Union minister of Coal, in the presence of S.K. Srivastava, secretary, Coal here on Tuesday.

CIL’s contribution to the CMRF for relief and rehabilitation activities in the cyclone affected areas was made under its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) policy.
