The Supreme Court on Monday directed the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) to file five remaining charge sheets in connection with the coal blocks allocation scam by March 28.

The apex court order came after the CBI submitted a status report informing it of the status of the probe undertaken by the agency and also about filing of a charge sheet in one case taken up for probe in 2012.

The Supreme Court, during the last hearing in the matter on February 11, had directed the CBI to submit a status report about filing of charge sheet in six of the cases finalised by the agency.
