Cobra rescued from post office ATM after 3-day operation in Odisha

Kuchinda: A cobra was rescued on Wednesday by forest officials from a post office ATM in an operation that lasted for 3 days in Kuchinda area in Sambalpur district.

The ATM was closed for public in past 3 days after a poisonous snake was found in the postal kiosk.

According to reports, the cobra had entered into the post office ATM located at Panchamukhi Chhak in Kuchinda on October 19 evening.

The people visiting the post office ATM were panicked to know about the presence of a cobra inside the kiosk.

On receiving information from the post office authorities, a team of forest officials had rushed to the site to catch the cobra, but failed. The rescue operation was a challenge for the officials. The snake was finally rescued after approximately 72-hour operation.

Ranger Gagan Mallick released the snake into a wild following its rescue.
