Cold wave likely to grip Odisha from Dec 1

Bhubaneswar: The unseasonal rains in the past week might have blocked the intensity of cold during this winter, but the cold wave is expected to grip entire Odisha from December 1.

Following continuous rains due to low pressure, people are now experiencing little bit cold in western, interior and coastal parts of the state. If it continues, people will feel intense cold from December first week.

As per the prediction by MeT, the mercury is expected to drop by 3 degree Celsius within next two to three days.

Odisha experienced cold in the past two days after the cold breeze blew from north direction on Tuesday and north-east direction on Wednesday. The cold wind is likely to blow from north-west direction in next one or two days.

Currently, the temperature was recorded low with the mercury plummeting to 4.5 degree Celsius in most parts of Rajasthan. The entire Odisha may come under grip of intense cold if the wind was blown from north-west direction, the MeT predicted.
