Cold wave warning issued for these Odisha districts

Bhubaneswar: Mercury is likely to plummet further across Odisha as the Regional Meteorological Centre today issued cold wave warning for several districts of the state.

Below are day-wise forecasts regarding cold wave conditions.

* Up to 0830 hrs of 21.12.2020: Orange Warning– Isolated cold wave to severe cold wave condition very likely prevail over the districts of Mayurbhanj, Angul, Jharsuguda, Sundargarh and Bargarh.

Yellow Warning– Isolated cold wave conditions very likely to prevail over the districts of Koraput, Kandhamal, Balasore, Keonjhar, Boudh, Sonepur, Kalahandi, Nuapada, Dhenkanal, Cuttack and Deogarh.

* From 0830 hrs of 21.12.2020 to 0830 hrs of 22.12.2020: Orange Warning– Isolated cold wave to severe cold wave condition very likely prevail over the districts of Mayurbhanj, Angul, Jharsuguda, Sundargarh and Bargarh.

Yellow Warning– Isolated cold wave conditions very likely to prevail over the districts of Koraput, Kandhamal, Balasore, Keonjhar, Boudh, Sonepur, Kalahandi, Nuapada, Dhenkanal and Deogarh.

People of the areas have been advised to stay indoors during night and make arrangements to keep livestock in shed/indoor area.
