Collection at Pipili toll gate stops shortly after resuming

Toll collection at Pipili toll gate in Odisha’s Puri district, which had stopped since Holi after a group clash, resumed today but was soon stopped by police as the toll plaza started operating without the Collector’s permission.

It may be recalled here that villagers of Siula and Ujanipada had clashed over past rivalry near the toll gate on March 13.

They had ransacked the toll gate offices causing extensive damage to its property.
