Colleges, Universities to reopen from Aug 16 in Odisha

Bhubaneswar: Colleges and universities under Odisha Higher Education Department will reopen from August 18, amidst the COVID-19 pandemic.

The department said universities and colleges for physical classroom teaching and hostel accommodation will reopen from August 16 for PG First Year and UG Pre-Final Year students.

However, examinations for PG/UG Final Year students will be held online as planned earlier.

Meanwhile, the state Government has allowed Class 9 students to attend physical classes from August 16. Teaching hour for the students in both Government-aided and private educational institutions will be 9 AM-12.30 PM every day, excluding Sunday and public holidays.
